The Downtown Business District is sponsoring four commercials to be filmed in downtown Middletown and aired on Channel 3 WFSB to show how vibrant, eclectic, and exciting our city is.
They will be filming one of them at The Buttonwood Tree, Wednesday, June 3rd from approximately 5:30-6:00 PM. They would like to show our performance space as it is during a concert, so we will hold a concert! We have two performers coming to sing and play guitar – Karen Stein and Jimmy King, their duo is called “Just Friends”. We invite you for some refreshments, friendly entertainment, and the chance to be “on air” in our commercial!
Walk-ins are welcome but, if you can let us know that you will be here that would be even better!

The Quintet is a group that is exploring the
vastness of group interplay in a jazz mode, but leaves the music open to
in the moment creation. The sound is a work in progress and through
the collaboration of the musicians new ideas
are born everytime we play together. It is structured to a degree, but
the music will take whatever form it has to so the each performer has
the freedom to express what they are feeling in the moment. This is the
formation of that search by each of us to come together and create
something magicial.
