MIDDLETOWN STATISTICS REPORT- SEPTEMBER 2011
Local Economy-.Unemployed eased back down to 8.6%. Hiring in August was up 12%. Vacancies on Main Street increased from 5% to 8%.
Housing- Foreclosures have increased significantly with 48 new filings. With the spring sales now closing, the single family home prices have increased. However supply of homes is still elevated.
Web Presence- Web presence for Middletown has increased for a third month. Searches reveal another hot new restaurant downtown, in addition to Mondo last month. This month Mezzo broke into the top searches.
