Work Continues On Collapsed Building, Tenants In Neighboring Buildings Remain Shut Out

As bulldozers cleared Main Street of debris, cranes began to move beams and move personnel into place to demolish what remained of the third floor facade of 505 Main Street.

Buildings across the street remain unoccupied with residents offered shelter at Middletown High School.

Officials on the scene said that residents would likely be out of their apartments for a few days.  Meanwhile the same officials are keeping a wary eye on other Main Street buildings which are showing signs of stress under the weight of snow, ice and water.
