At a press conference Thursday afternoon, Middletown mayor Sebastian Giuliano said that pending state DOT approval of revised traffic patterns, Main Street between Washington and Liberty Streets could be open as soon as Thursday evening.
The mayor said that the block may be closed from four lanes to two temporarily to allow for crane operation and demolition of 501-507 Main Street.
Pedestrian traffic will open when vehicular traffic opens.
