Middletown Youth Services on the Eye

Hi all, We're very excited about our new partnership between the city's Youth Service Bureau and the Middletown Eye.  As a publisher on the site we hope to share our weekly "developmental asset messages" as well as positive news stories regarding Middletown youth and our department.

As some of you may know, we've been reaching out to more and more folks over the last several months in an attempt to share some of our new projects from our Developmental Assets initiative. The focus of the revised campaign is our new website: www.assetpromise.org. The goal of the site is to help all members of the Middletown community recognize a potential role that they can play in supporting young people and to activate that role by making (and keeping) a promise. The video above, which uses interviews with local teens, speaks to the initiative and the need to change how we perceive young people while also offering examples of simple things well can all do to lend support and show we care.
