Main Street is closed between Grand and Liberty Streets because of a water main break in the South bound lane.
Police are advising drivers to detour using Grand, Pearl and Washington Streets.
A major break earlier in the year closed a nearby section of Main Street.

If my recollection serves me well, that was a site of a break not too many years ago. Happened in front of The Buttonwood Tree.
I think it happened last year. Hopefully they will replace all the 100+ year old main line in that area.
