Orville Pierson, S.VP. of Lee Hecht Harrison, a $200 million career services company with 240 offices worldwide and one of the largest outplacement companies in the world , is the creator of the Job Search Work Team (JSWT) and will describe in detail how to start these work teams and make them successful for participating job hunters. All participants are asked to read the last chapter of Pierson's book The Unwritten Rules of the Highly Effective Job Search. Copies of the chapter are available free of charge at the Russell Library Information Desk.

Named the Pierson method, this weekly meeting approach is based on a methodology scientifically proven to reduce job search time and improve results. It has been successfully used by thousands of job hunters. Those wanting to start their own JSWT should definitely attend this meeting. Career professionals from colleges, universities and community-based not-for-profits wishing to use JSWTs in their programs are also welcomed. Pierson recently authored the Career Press book Highly Effective Networking: Meet the Right People and Get a Great Job.
