Revised Charitable Food Distribution Statute Passes House and Senate

Senator Paul Doyle just called to say that the budget implementer bill, which contains the revised statute for charitable distribution of food not prepared in licensed kitchens, just passed the Senate after earlier passage in the House.

It is now on the governor's desk, where there is optimism that she will sign this implementer bill.

The question remains whether the Middletown Health Department will recognize and correctly interpret this clear statement of the legislature...or if they will continue to twist the law to suit their personal agendas.

I think a lot of this situation could be explained if the identity of the anonymous caller were known. There's just too much "Huh?" to this story. I bet if we knew who complained we'd all go "Ahhh. Now I understand."
