Greetings from Nova Scotia

From our friend and neighbor, Vijay Pinch.

Not much to report from New Scotland, save that the weather is lovely and cool, the Bay of Fundy beautiful, and the lobster and scallops and mussels delicious. Here's our local webcam:

Things are pretty quiet. Just heard the noon whistle. Have to head back to the shore soon.

And the town website:

I'm sitting next to the town hall and library, pictured here:

... using the local wifi to do some work.

I'll see if I can work up a good story, like how a mega-quarry proposed for the shore by a New Jersey company (appropriately named 'Bilcon') was defeated last year. See http://www.savedigbyneck.org/

Bilcon wanted to sell stone to the US to build more roads, all to preserve the American Way of Driving.

Or I could write about how Helen and Pearse are taking the Saturday Farmers' Market by storm with their flute and violin playing.

I'm continually impressed by the Eye coverage

Vijay
